Who should attend this workshop?
Business owners doing $2M+ in revenue who are making decisions about growth, transition, or the future of their business without a clear financial picture underneath them. If you've never seen your revenue, costs, EBITDA, and valuation connected in one model, this is for you.
What if I'm new to Independence by Design™ ?
Most people in the room are. The workshop is designed to stand on its own. You don't need any prior experience with iBD. We start from scratch and build the picture together.
What will I walk away with after the workshop?
A forecast worksheet with your growth assumptions filled in, an economic outlook to ground your planning, a clear sense of your Value Gap (the distance between where your business is and where you want it to be), and a committed 90-day plan with one priority you've said out loud in front of other owners.
Can I bring a team member or business partner?
Yes. In fact, some of the best outcomes come from partners or leadership team members going through it together. Joan Siewert-Cardona attended and immediately said she wanted to send her other partners. Each person needs their own registration.
What makes this workshop different from others?
You do real work. Most workshops hand you ideas and add to your to-do list. This one gives you protected time to think about your business with a fractional CFO, an economist, and a revenue strategist guiding you through it. You leave with something on paper, not just notes from a lecture.
Do I need forecasting experience?
No. Ryan and Pat walk you through every line of the model. You just need a rough sense of your current revenue, cost of goods, and overhead. We do the rest together.
Is this only for certain revenue levels?
The model works for any owner-operated business, but the room is built for owners doing $2M to $20M+ in revenue. That's where the conversations, the peer dynamics, and the financial framework are most relevant.
What if I can't attend both days?
Both days are recorded and available in your account afterward. That said, Day 1 builds the financial picture and Day 2 builds the plan. They're designed to work together. If you can only make one, Day 1 is where the forecast happens.
Is this a sales pitch?
No. It's a working session. You'll spend six hours doing real work on your business. At the end of Day 2, I'll share how some owners continue the work through our 90-Day Blueprint program, but that's a five-minute conversation, not a two-day setup. If you leave with just the workshop, you still leave with real clarity.
Who is this NOT for?
Solopreneurs or early-stage founders still figuring out product-market fit. Owners who are looking for a motivational event rather than a working session. And anyone who isn't willing to sit with their numbers for three hours and actually think about where their business is headed.
